Kings are not uncommon |
|
The Nushagak River is a beautiful, remote,
peaceful, and clear water river in Southcentral Alaska that is famous for supporting the state’s
largest King Salmon run each year. As many as 200,000
kings, make their way up the Nushagak each
summer. This is more than the number of kings that come up
the better known and
more famous Alaskan rivers. This large number of kings,
with less competition for
them, allows you to land more kings than you could possibly
imagine. Can you handle catching up to
80 kings per day? This has been the experience of
boatloads of past folks at our
Nushagak River Camp, but don’t take our word for it. Read
the stories and talk to fishermen
who have enjoyed this exceptional fishing
experience,
then book your own trip to leave the crowds behind and take
advantage of this phenomenal king
fishing opportunity.

We have been fishing the Nushagak for 15 years out of our very
comfortable, but portable lodge, located right on the banks
of this beautiful River. Our remote lodge
features very comfortable sleeping
accommodations, kitchen, dining hall, hot
showers, horseshoe pits, and a relaxing
campfire circle for a peaceful and relaxing
time while not out on the river
catching hard fighting kings that average
20-25 pounds, with large ones going to 50.
| Each morning, after a filling and tasty breakfast,
our experienced guides will depart with you in uncrowded,
comfortable river boats, to take you to
great fishing holes along the river for a day of fantastic
fishing. You will arrive back at camp each evening for a
great dinner, prepared by our experienced
and professional cook, a hot shower, some
horse shoe playing or just relaxing around
the fire pit. Then an excellent night’s rest that prepares
you for the next day of exceptional king fishing. |

On
Your Way! |

Unlike some remote lodges, enjoy the convenience of arriving in
Anchorage, then taking a very short commuter
flight into Kenai, or simply renting a
vehicle and enjoying a very scenic 2 1/2
hour drive through the Kenai Mountains and
across the Kenai Peninsula to arrive at our
Soldotna base. From there you will board one
of our modern bush planes for an awe
inspiring flight over the Alaska Range Mountains and into the
Bristol Bay regions of Alaska. Breathtaking
scenery, moose, bear, and caribou are common
sights on your way to the Nushagak River. To
many the flight itself is the experience of
a lifetime. |
| Our camp is uncrowded, with lots of personal
attention. We limit ourselves to a “maximum”
of 8 fishermen per camp period and we choose
to operate it for approximately four weeks, during the best
king salmon fishing the Nushagak is famous
for. Along with you in camp are two
experienced, knowledgeable guides, a professional cook, and
a considerate and hardworking camp
helper. This team is there for your fun and
safety and to show you a true Alaskan High Adventure. |
