Our Black Bear hunts are conducted in two different parts of
Alaska. One of these locations is Unit 15, which is a
portion of the Kenai Mountain Range, approximately 30
minutes of flight time away from our base of operation. In this
location you will only be hunting for black bear (without special
permit drawing for other big game).
The other locations are Units 9 & 17 west of the Alaska
Range approximately 2 hours of flight time away. This hunt is
Fall only but with the right timing and an additional fee, moose
or caribou could be combined without special permit drawing. For a
good black bear hunt we recommend up to 6 days in the field.
There's a good population of black bears in this
areas with mature bears averaging five and a half to six feet
squared. The overall hunt success varies greatly, depending on
weather, and hunters physical condition. These hunts are spot
and stalk and require a fair amount of hiking.
UNGUIDED DROP HUNT
- The unguided hunt is for the
experienced hunter who wishes to act as their own guide and
